Archipelago's 2024 Fall Update

To give all of you a better sense of what Archipelago is all about, we wanted to share some updates that the team is very excited about

Hello, I'm Nicholas from Archipelago Productions. To give all of you a better sense of what Archipelago is all about, I wanted to take a minute to share some updates that the team and I are very excited about. If you're not already familiar with Archipelago, it's a video production company based here in Toronto, and it creates work for the Entertainment, Advertisement and Non-Profit sectors.

We've just wrapped production on the trailer for a new scripted comedy series called Confession Queens. This series was created by two hilarious writers, Cass Cervi and Aditi Raina and the trailer was directed by the one and only Anthony Q Farrell, whose creative credits include The Office and Run the Burbs. We are so looking forward to sharing the finished trailer with you later in September.

The development of this project was made possible through the support of the Independent Production Fund and the Canadian Media Fund. Thank you very much for your support. In other entertainment news, Archipelago has recently partnered with Circle Blue Entertainment and Madden and Mitchell Media to develop Baked Goods. It's a half hour dramedy and it's set in Scarborough.

For those of you who've been following our Queer Thriller series Thread, we are delighted to inform you that this project has been selected for production funding from the Bell Fund. The project is also supported by the Independent Production Fund and the Canadian Media Fund. It's amazing to receive this level of support for a project that we are so passionate about.

On the advertising side of Archipelago, our recent national broadcast campaign for RBCs Houseful won the platinum Hermes Creative Award and our new social campaign for RBCs owner just launched. That colourful video was shot right here in our studio on Sterling Road and both projects were directed by our very own Jana Stackhouse. For those of you who are familiar with the mega viral Four Seasons Baby, we've just completed a case study video on the agency's massive campaign.

And in our Non-Profit space, we've recently completed filming a very large DEI initiative for the Ontario English Catholic Teachers Association. This series was shot over four days in our studio and featured a diverse range of educators from all corners of the province. Archipelago has created over 700 e-learning videos since our founding in 2017, and we are so happy to partner with the wonderful folks at OECTA for this very important initiative.

And in other Non-Profit news, this year we supported the Future of Film Showcase. This year's opening night party was held right here in our studio. The festival does a fantastic job at fostering new Canadian talent, and we are so happy to provide the support. Well, that's all for now, but we do have lots of cooking, so stay tuned.

And if you're interested, we are currently booking video shoots and studio tours for the fall. If you'd like to speak with us about a project or partnership, you can connect with us at info@archipelagoproductions.ca or with me directly nicholas@archipelagoproductions.ca.
